My name is Vivian Tu, 42-year-old Psychotherapy Counsellor
My professional academia is the awarded Doctoral scholarship in Psycholinguistics by University of Aberdeen (2014), and have been trained in the discipline of Person-centred Psychotherapy. I have resided in Bath, Nottingham and Newcastle over the past decades and since 2005 I have been based and established in Aberdeen, Scotland (UK).
Born in Formosa, Taiwan, and have been residing in Britain for the past 20 years.
I am a licensed humanistic Person-centred Psychotherapy Counsellor, registered member to BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) who has faith in "everything is possible" and in "everyone has the meanings on earth". These are the beliefs that I carry all my life since young age. Astrology alignments and the Universe-Body-Soul intuitions have been my genetic nature. After traveling across England and resettling in Scotland, through years of searching in life, my researches during the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Psychology and Linguistics disciplines have eventually established and been forming my passion for life: Psychotherapy and Counselling.
In the past decade, I have been working with charity organisations for the students with learning difficulties, young pupils on Autism Spectrum, children and young people’s mental wellbeing, as well as the counselling services for adult patients within NHS practices, generic Counselling service and for the cross-cultural individuals Grampian Regional Equality Council.
In addition to my therapy practice, I am also a certified Mindfulness Meditation trainer/teacher at Oxford College of Mindfulness and Buddhism. Mindfulness is my art of living; Buddhism & Person-centred therapy are my philosophies. In my working experiences, the Mindfulness and Counselling have been working intertwined, beautifully for my clients’ therapeutic journey and my own self.
